Hoarder rescued

Story From CBCNEWS

Great learning points in this story:

  1. Listen to the stories of how the occupant responded to the firefighters touching his belongings
  2. Size up the conditions.  Rate it (1-5) with a 5 being the worst!
  3. Great point calling for additional resources
  4. Consider what PPE should be used!

Prayers for the occupant and praise for the first responders!  This is a classic example of someone who is afflicted with Compulsive Hoarding Disorder.  We need to be prepare for this call as its not a matter of if, but when you will be faced with it!

Bunker up, Buckle in, it’s where we all begin!   #jumpseatready!
